Hey friends! Happy Thursday!
Sorry for the blog post silence lately! You might have seen the Instagram post where I shared that I’ve been dealing with some un-fun blog stuff lately – a spam hack and then thousands of broken links. As you can imagine, it’s been a little draining and has left me feeling like doing anything BUT blogging.
Thrift shopping and Craigslist browsing on the other hand? Insanely therapeutic!
My Finds:
I have two new additions to our living room that I’m excited to share with you today! Red is a color I really haven’t used much in the past, but I’m having fun playing around with new color combinations here in the new house.
I found this kilim storage ottoman (originally from Overstock.com) on Craigslist. It was listed for $30 and I offered $20, and the sweet seller was even kind enough to drop it off for me! Bryan has been begging for an ottoman for our living room, so I was so happy to find a smaller one with such a fun textile.
And I’m currently waiting on some new higher sofa legs, since our vintage green velvet sofa sits a little low to the ground. Once I’ve added those, I think his couch-lounging experience will be significantly improved!

The second thing I found recently is this fabulous multi-colored tapestry lumbar pillow with all the tassels! ($10 at the Salvation Army.) I adore the color combination! I was originally thinking of using this pillow in our bedroom, but it just might have to stay right here on the couch.

Thrift Score Thursday Features:
It’s always so hard to narrow down my favorites from the #thriftscorethursday feed on Instagram, but each week I give it my best shot!
I have to say, these vintage lucite Abraham Palatnik cats Francine (@hotcoolvintage) shared just might make it to all-time-favorite feature status:

And I am on a vase kick lately! Such a pretty find from Katie (@redhousewest).

Anna Rose (@thehowtogal) shared this vintage engineering ruler and asked for ideas to display it. I think it would be so cute zigzagged just like this on a few small nails hammered into the wall!

All the gorgeous vintage florals from paintings to embroidery from @findofthecentury! Such a beautiful collection!
Never pass up a good brass hardware find! Cate (@cate_stylemutthome) scored these lovelies for around $7 at her local Habitat for Humanity Restore! (Did you see my Instagram Stories tour of my local Restore yesterday? I am SUCH a fan!)
Finally, check out this absolutely jaw-dropping credenza Elizabeth (@birchredo) found and refinished. You’ve got to check out the before here – she worked absolute magic!

Yes thrift therapy is always my go to relief for whatever ails me! Love that foot stool and pillow…I feel better already I think you need those kitty cats to go along with them. I always laugh now when I see those fold up rulers because they still use them all the time in Germany. I asked my landlord once if he ever used the metal tape measure and he said they could cut you. In all my days of measuring, I have never been cut. I guess I am really good at it. 😛
Love your finds! The pops of red look so good in there!
oh my goodness–those kitties are amazing!
these are all SO good! i am not a cat person but those lucite cats are so unique! i also love your ottoman! it’s SOOOO good!
So many great finds this week, but yes those cats are awesome! P.S. Every time I see your coffee table I die {in a good way LOL}.
