Hey you guys! Happy Thrift Score Thursday! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I was truly blown away by all the awesomeness in the #thriftscorethursday Instagram feed this week, which you will see reflected in some extra features below. Wow. Just wow!
My Find:
Earlier this week, I shared the next installment of The ABC’s of Gathering: D is for Dine and in that post you got to see this spring succulent tablescape that I pulled together with vintage and thrift store finds…
I had some other pretty pictures of the table setting that didn’t make it into that post, so I decided to share a few more details with you today!
The “tablecloth” is actually a vintage bed-sheet (previously repurposed as a curtain panel here). I absolutely love the floral + bird design on the rich green background, so you can imagine my delight when I actually found another sheet with the exact same pattern – only this new one is a queen size and seems to have never been used, based on its crispness and extremely vibrant colors! So I can have my curtains AND use the new one as a tablecloth – win-win!
I found the floral napkins as a set of 6 at a thrift store in Dallas, and I also have six of the Fitz and Floyd coral-rimmed salad/dessert plates, but sadly just the one cream-colored plate with that lovely delicate lacy border design. You know I’m keeping my eyes out for more!
And I shared my little pots with peaches on the lids with you back on Thrift Score Thursday 79 – they belonged to my great great aunt and I carefully brought them home with me after visiting my grandparents this summer. They usually sit on my bedside table holding bobby pins and hair bands, but I absolutely love how they look with these fabrics, dishes, and some pretty faux succulents! Again, I will absolutely have to track down more so I can set a full table with them!
The Features:
As I mentioned earlier, I couldn’t resist picking some extra features from the #thriftscorethursday feed this week! In fact, you’ll find twice as many as usual… Keep up the amazing submissions, you guys!
The lovely ladies of @littleyellowcouch shared this fab lamp makeover – some white spray paint and recovering + decorating the shade with gold fabric paint totally transformed this weathervane lamp!
Elizabeth Rose (@elizabethrosedesigns_) hit the brass jackpot on a recent thrifting excursion to my old stomping grounds, Houston, TX! I grew up in a little town north west of Houston and, get this: my family had pet llamas growing up and those brass bookends down there look an awful lot like our grumpy but much-loved llama “Albert.”
As you can imagine, I’m pretty much in love with her finds and even a little bit proud of my hometown for providing her with these treasures!
Thrifted art is always a winner in my book, and the colors in this water color piece found by Jess (@hereandnowgoods) are just incredible!
I finally acquired my own long-awaited vintage ceramic zebra (see her in my living room tour here) after months of searching eBay. Wouldn’t you know, Jennifer (@jenc184) just found practically her twin at an estate sale, also labeled “Tilso Japan” underneath!
Check out all the thrifted goodness in this shot of Jessica’s (@honeynhydrangea) kitchen shelves! I can’t take my eyes off that beautiful painting – art in the kitchen is such a good idea!
Last Thrift Score Thursday was Saint Patrick’s Day and Jess (@domicile37) shared the most perfect find for the occasion – she found this solid brass four leaf clover for only $1! Talk about luck!
Julie (@julieaspear) shared two beautiful marble finds, making me determined to add some marble animals to my mainly-brass menagerie! See the lion in the background? Love these!
Finally, feast your eyes on this beautiful shot from Kim (@_kim_wilson), spotlighting that stunning thrifted wall hanging, brass lamp, and macrame plant hanger… Delicious!

This week, we’re excited to have Ariel from PMQ for Two joining us again to guest host!
I just love the colorful little spring refresh she gave to her bedroom! And if you’re still looking for ideas to decorate Easter eggs, her brushstroke eggs are incredibly stylish and easy to do!
Be sure to check out the finds and features from Cassie, Corinna & Maggie!
P.S. Are you an avid blogger + Instagrammer who also loves thrifty finds? We’d love to have you join us for a week of Thrift Score Thursday! If you’re interested, you can apply right here!
there were SO many good ones this time around! i loved that bedroom from kim and also featured one from the indigo tribe that had a great vibe, too! love tour table- those little pots!
I’m with you – I could absolutely redecorate my house with the features this week! 🙂
Brynne, that table setting! Love it. Was all set to ask you about your tablecloth but of course it’s vintage. Sigh.
It’s the only drawback to decorating with mainly vintage/thrifted finds – I can never tell people exactly where to find them for their own home!
Love that little sugar bowl all planted up! When we were in Germany they had shelves and shelves of little sugar bowls and creamers about this size at the thrift stores. I always thought they would be cute planted like this and running down the center of the table in one big cluster, but I see now even just one is beautiful!
Oh, that would be too adorable! I guess I could keep my eyes out for similarly sized little sugar bowls and pots de creme and do an eclectic mix – that’s a great idea! 🙂
I want that zebra
I will send all the good thrifting vibes your way so you’ll hopefully find one! <3
Will you come set the table for dinner at my place 😉
LOVE those fabric patterns.
Thank you Ariel! I have so much fun setting pretty tables and we NEVER eat at them or host dinners, lol. I need to step up my hosting game! 🙂
Wow, Brynne! GORGEOUS table! And i love how you’re not done collecting for it!
Thank you so much, Zandra! Yes, that’s one of the side effects of being an inveterate gatherer – I have all these unfinished little collections! But I do find the missing pieces later a surprising number of times. It’s always so exciting!
Oh wow, I am blown away that you chose my little eagle to be featured here on your blog that I have loved for so long! SO cool..Thank you! Your table is just gorgeous, I love vintage sheets too, and your pattern mixing is just gorgeous! That cream colored delicate lace china pattern is amazing, does it have markings on the underside? And your other thrifty picks are all so awesome too! I could find a spot at my house for all of them! Loving that watercolor painting, and the zebra…and each time I look at the photo of that mass of brass I notice something new and fabulous! Cool stuff! Thanks Brynne!
You are so welcome! Love your marble finds!
The cream china is marked “Sheffield Fine China – Made in Japan – Sonata” underneath. It looks like you can find pieces on eBay and from Replacements.com – so maybe I’ll just have to fill out my collection that way! 🙂
Your tablescape is stunning! I adore all of those patterns together. Thank you, thank you, for including me with all of this talent!!!
Thank you so much, Jessica! And you are so welcome – we LOVE seeing your beautiful shots in the #thriftscorethursday feed!
This makes me feel like I’m not a grown up. I need to source some pretty dishes. And a dining room table. Ha! Your table setting is SO pretty! Good luck finding more of those beautiful dishes.
