The Features:
Kristy from Robb Restyle (Instagram: robbrestyle) shared this gorgeous shot of her vintage bottle vase. What a simple but lovely statement piece!
I adore the colors in this afghan Meg (Instagram: megknitshit) scored for $3 at the thrift store! I’m super jealous because I’ve been looking for something exactly like this lately – wouldn’t it be just perfect in the “Nautical Naturalist” guest room?
These Mid Century chairs Karrie (Instagram: makerofhome) found on Craigslist and then recovered with a Pendleton wool blanket are incredible! I love the shape of the walnut leg/arm combination! Get more details on them on her blog.
When Kim (Instagram: refound_vintage) said that this vase was an awful shade of pink when she found it at the thrift store, I could instantly picture said shade of pink (hello 80’s!) and I’ll admit – I knew I wouldn’t have seen the potential in it! A new coat of white paint is miraculous, isn’t it? Love your vision, Kim!
My Find:
You already saw this thrift score in yesterday’s post, but I saved the closeups for today! I found this oak and brass ship’s wheel clock a few weeks ago for $8 at Goodwill and waffled a little over the price. (You guys, I know, I am so cheap. But I need to be, or I could spend a literal fortune on cool vintage finds.)
But once I saw the way the cool glass porthole window unlatched and lifted up from the clock face, I knew I had to take it home.
I wasn’t able to find the exact same clock online, but I did find this very similar one selling on Amazon for $230! (Affiliate link just in case you feel like buying a $230 clock today.) So after all, I don’t feel so bad about spending $7.99.
Let’s hear from you! What have you found recently? Share using #thriftscorethursday!

We’re welcoming back Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios as our guest host this week!
I can’t wait to see what she’s sharing! She’s moving back to the US from Germany soon, so I’m sure she’s enjoying some last-minute fabulous European thrifting!
Be sure to check out the finds and features from Corinna & Trisha!
P.S. Are you a blogger who also love thrifty finds? We’d love to have you join us for a week of Thrift Score Thursday! If you’re interested, send me a message!

I can’t wait to see it, Cassie!
What a great group of finds! I just LOVE those chairs. Hello! Those lines!!!
Your clock is wonderful, too!!!
Thanks Kristen! Those chairs are something else!
That bottle, those chairs, that clock! All such good stuff! Hoping I’ll turn up something great soon. That is my dream for the weekend (and every day :)).
Wishing you the best of thrifting luck this weekend then! 🙂
I just bought that clock through your link. You’re welcome. Kidding! But I’d snatch it up for $8 🙂
Hahaha. I mean, if you think about it, I saved $222 just by buying it at the thrift store… Funding MORE thrift shopping!
You made me giggle Gretchen!
Porthole?! and a clock?! No Stinkin’ way!! LUCKY!
I don’t think I would have been able to see the potential in the vase that Kim snagged either. Of course it depends on the shade of pink, most bold ones have me running to the hills ha!
The vase is one of those pieces that would look so dated in its original color but looks so fresh and modern in white… Seriously one of my favorite #thriftscorethursday makeovers!
Love your clock and am impressed by your great deal!
Thanks Paula! I had no idea – just decided to give it a quick Google before I finished up the post!
So fun to see what everyone’s favorites are! I was very tempted by those chairs myself, but then again #moschairjunkie . Thanks for letting me participate again always so much fun!
I know – those chairs! We LOVE having you guest host with us, Maggie! Thanks for joining in!
I’m not sure what kind of person would be in the market for a $200+ clock, but good for them. I really love the clock you found, it’s so unique!
Haha, who knows? Evidently there’s a market! I’m just glad that the person who bought the $200+ clock decided to give it to Goodwill 🙂
Oh I totally want that vase!
Me too! It’s so cool!
