Happy Thursday friends! Welcome to another edition of Thrift Score Thursday, the blog series and Instagram hashtag party that celebrates all things thrifted, hosted by myself and several friends each week.
My Find:
Last week, I mentioned that the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store near me is one of my favorite local shops. They have sales on different categories of the store on different days of the week, text me coupons regularly, and sometimes have special sales where the entire store is 30% off (cue shopping spree)!
I stopped by one sale day, as luck would have it, and found this brand new Artesa appetizer set, complete with shrink wrap on the little slate plates underneath the glass cloches. Now, we are definitely cheese fans in this house, but my mind jumped straight to another purpose for this piece…
Break out the trusty faux succulents!
Right now, my little terrarium tray is sitting on the sideboard in my dining room, which is sporting a rather eclectic mix at the moment. I really haven’t even gotten started in this room yet, but I’m enjoying having a little moment full of things that I love.
Candlesticks: thrifted. Huge Venus art: thrifted. Vintage zebra figure: eBay. Sideboard: Craigslist, painted.
Thrift Score Thursday features:
Get in my life! I love this graphic mudcloth piece Beck (@thebohemianfleamarket) found and plans to frame!
And I’ll always swoon for a good story! Mithra (@findernotkeeper) shared this incredible vintage handbag found by a friend’s mother at an estate sale.
This 1940s handbag, made by the famous Anne-Marie of Paris and shaped like a champagne bucket complete with lucite ice cubes, was a symbol of French resistance during WWII.

Absolutely incredible!

I don’t know if Thrift Score Thursday regular @mellabobella has ever shared a thrift find I didn’t love, but I’m especially crazy for this vintage Italian ceramic bust!

Who remembers the time I didn’t buy an incredible pair of palm tree lamps and eternally regretted it? Thankfully Nikki (@weepingwolfevintage) won’t have to live with that regret – she wisely snatched up this brass version!
Just when I thought I might be slightly over my brass addiction, @thekoicurator shared this sexy pair of modernist bookends by Mid-Century designer Ben Seibel. Nope, definitely not over my brass crush!

A few weeks ago, I featured a spectacularly colorful vintage ashtray collection from Jessica (@jessicadwolf), and this week she shared her even more fabulous vintage planter ensemble. (Complete with some gnome buddies, of course!)

Finally, this shot from Claire (@instaclaire1) of her recent Craigslist-score table and chairs stopped me in my tracks! Such a gorgeous space, you guys – she is definitely one to follow!

palm tree lamps?! awesome!
STILL kicking myself six months later for passing up that pair! I have the perfect place for them now, too! Proof that hoarding is a good and beautiful habit 😉
Super cute way to display those succulents!
Thanks girl! I don’t know if it will ever get used for cheese – I’m loving it too much as a little terrarium!
