Happy Thursday friends! How is your week going so far?
You know me – I’m just keeping busy with getting settled in to our house and, of course, doing some Craigslist shopping! (But more on that another time.)
My Finds:
I recently found these two treasures the same day at two different Goodwill stores – the gold-framed oil painting of four girls ($4.99) and the huge and hefty pottery vase ($1.99).
I just adore the colors in this painting and the girls’ sweet faces!
And I’m just crazy about the texture mix of the painting and vase together!
I wish I knew more about it, but alas, this charming typed tag on the back is missing the corner that I assume used to contain the artist’s name!
This is one of my favorite little decor moments going on in the house right now!
Thrift Score Thursday Features:
As always, I went through the #thriftscorethursday feed on Instagram to peruse your awesome finds and choose some favorites to share here on the blog.
First of all, my eye was caught by several white ceramic pieces – various shapes and sizes, but all so beautiful! You’d better believe I’ll be keeping my eyes out for anything similar the next time I go thrifting!
kpick89 shared this luminous pair of vintage porcelain bisque vases by Uta Feyl for Rosenthal – aren’t they dreamy?

Doug (@doug_fritock) scored this enormous and absolutely fiercely fabulous 80’s cat sculpture that would have come home with me for sure if I had come across it!

And Carrie (@thesimplesketchbook) scooped up this stunning Mid-Century lamp!
Just feast your eyes on this eclectic and colorful shelfie from Amber (@mamakeavintage). The orange beehive lamp was a Goodwill score on road trip, and she says almost everything except the books was thrifted!

And another shot with the most perfect styling – this gorgeous vignette full of vintage and thrifted goodies shared by Thalita (@thelearnerobserver)
As I mentioned recently, Kelly Wearstler is my spirit animal, so you can imagine I’m totally obsessed with these chairs upholstered in KW’s “Agate” print fabric Nancy (@casacavaliere) found on Craigslist for a steal! Apparently, it was quite the adventure getting them home, but I’d say they were absolutely worth the trouble!

Lastly, how incredible is this rattan settee Sara (@sadies_lovely_life) just picked up at the thrift store? I’m so inspired by the way she styled it with the fur throw, the lumbar pillow, and the indigo fabric (even though she says te fur isn’t too practical for this season)! Dreamy!

Love that painting, all the white shirts remind me of my catholic school uniform which I guess if it’s “Little Italy” might be about right and of course that vase bring to mind some WGP I might have few peices of… As usual love all your picks and even share a few.
Aw, I hadn’t even considered that possible story for the painting – that makes sense! Love it! And your pottery collection is always inspiring! Thanks to Thrift Score Thursday posts, I’m paying much closer attention to vases, pots, etc. on thrift store shelves!
love your pottery! and i saw the sneak peek of those wood grain fabric chairs butnever the finished product- LOVE!!! and i missed the settee that both you and maggie featured!
Thank you Cassie! Those chairs are everything I need in my life. Maybe one day I’ll be lucky enough to get my hands on some of that fabric!
The pottery pulls out that bit of orange in the vest in the painting — fantastic finds!
I actually am not proficient on Instagram, but I do enjoy all the features your group shows each week. I have also found some new blogger this way, too. I shop estate sales frequently and find some good things, but I usually share them on my blog.
I’m so glad to hear that you’re enjoying Thrift Score Thursday! For us hosts, Instagram has turned out to be a very efficient way to interact and keep track of submissions, but please feel free to share finds with us on Facebook, through email, or by leaving a blog post link if you’d like!
That painting is an incredible find – I love it!
Thank you so much, Katie! It’s one of my very favorite recent finds!
