Hey guys! Happy first Thrift Score Thursday of the month!
I swear, you lose a few days at the end of February and it feels you lose a whole week – how is it March already?!
This month, we really saw #thriftscorethursday explode on Instagram. The hashtag count is up to over 17,500 photos and I set aside time each week to scroll through each and every newly posted shot – you guys have been absolutely killing it!
Thrift Score Thursday Features:
As always, it’s difficult to narrow down hundreds of new tagged photos to just a few features, but these are the ones that particularly caught my eye and stopped me in my tracks:
Have you come across the fabulous posts of Andrea (@hunt.and.scavenge) yet? Her Instagram account is only a few weeks old – I predict great things, because this lady is definitely #onetofollow! I love her dining space, full of Mid Century furniture, collected pieces, and two vintage Native American portraits she recently thrifted and added to the mix!
P.S. Did you know that even if you don’t use the Instagram app on your phone, you can view Instagram posts on your web browser? Just click the links or the feature photos to visit the original post on Instagram!
Holy reclaimed-wood, Batman! I’m obsessed with these amazing vintage doors Danielle (@tuft_diymckim) found and repurposed as shower doors in her bathroom!

Speaking of obsessed, do you guys remember Monica (@allsurreal)? (Lives in a converted church, collects fabulous vintage sofas.) I’m so enjoying following along with her home design! This coral wall + gallery of vintage art pieces + stunning scroll-arm Regency-style sofa has me positively swooning.

Kyla (@houseofhipstersblog) says she found this vintage glass-front cabinet at an estate sale “for a song”. Well, I need to learn that melody, because you guys – this is incredible! She was on the fence about painting it, but loves the original patina as well, so it’s likely staying as-is for now.
(Exactly my approach to the “to paint or not to paint” dilemma – sit it out, give it time, let it speak to you.)
My sweet friend Jess (@domicile37) does such a wonderful job of incorporating vintage finds into her dramatic and glamorous decor. In this shot, she highlighted the thrifted leopard art and brass gazelle head hanging on the wall… but if I know her at all, I’d bet there are plenty of other thrifted elements in this space!

This shot from Caitlin (@indigo0ocean) was really speaking to me! I love everything about this vintage spindle table vignette – from the ornate legs to the lamp to the vintage book styling! I may have a fondness for modern brass and lucite decor, but I also have a soft spot for beautifully carved oak. It’s good for the soul!

And I melt for vintage art! I adore these two thrifted pieces Diane (@therathproject) paired. Aren’t they just so soft and dreamy?

I went slack-jawed for this stunning spaced Susie (@susiebrown) shared – featuring a Craigslist-find hanging wicker egg chair! I don’t know where I could possibly put one, but I would love to find one too!

Finally, I just had to share this gorgeous vintage glass-front cabinet shared by Jo (@jogalbraithdesign). She didn’t think she had any room for it in her new house, until she decided to use it to store linens in the bedroom. Perfection!
My Find:
I LOVE that Jo shared her glass paned cabinet this past week, because look what I found recently at The Salvation Army!
Sadly, it does not have the front doors anymore (you can see the holes where the hinges used to be), but I don’t even mind for $50!
The paneled back, side panes of glass, and curvaceous legs make me weak in the knees!
I once saw a home tour on Apartment Therapy where the homeowner stored her shoes in a glass-fronted cabinet and I’ve dreamed of doing the same ever since. I love my collection of pretty heels, but I seldom have a reason to wear them. I’m thinking this just might end up playing a role in the master bedroom makeover!
What do you think?

Brynne great features and great find! I’ve seen a similar photo before on Pinterest of pretty shoes stored in a glass cabinet, and I thought it looked fantastic!
I love Jess’s space, so many beautiful treasures!
Thanks Linda, you are too kind!
Yes, I can’t get that image out of my head! It’s not wildly practical, but oh so pretty!
I just wanted to point out that your photos illustrate the fallacy about white being the only background color for art! The art in these photos looks FANTASTIC with the various colored backgrounds: coral, black and navy! Hooray for the3se visionaries! And fantastic thrift finds, too!
Oh yes! I just LOVE the way art pops against colorful walls!
Aww, Brynne!!! Thank you so much for including me!!! xoxoxoxoxo
You’re so welcome, sweet friend! Your new home is looking AMAZING! I’m loving seeing all your thrifted treasures come together in it!
You know, sometimes I miss my weekly Thrift Score Thursday fix, but this monthly feature thing sure does make for a really lovely, best of the best kind of post 🙂
I do too, sometimes! The extra white space in my week is kind of nice though – more time for thrifting myself! 😀
Definitely following hunt & scavenge – did you see the mannequin/doll in the corner? Oh my!!! Where do you guys find all these beautiful things and why are they not here in the uk!x
First I have to say the entire VintageStyleLiving.com staff loves your blog! Really enjoyed looking at some of the ideas you gathered here. Especially the vintage shower doors. They are a fabulous blend of vintage and industrial. Love them!
