Welcome to December’s round of Thrift Score Thursday!
In case you missed this post explaining Thrift Score Thursday changes, we’ve changed things up a little bit by moving to monthly features on the hosts’ blogs, with weekly features on our Instagram accounts.
Your Hosts: Thrift Score Thursday is hosted by myself, Cassie from Cassie Bustamante and Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios.
Weekly: We keep up with #thriftscorethursday on Instagram each week, and each host shares a favorite feature on there. So share those thrifty finds (Craigslist, estate sales, thrift stores – you name it!) any day of the week, because we love seeing them! You can find me on Instagram as @the_gathered_home!
Monthly: Mark your calendars, because the 1st Thursday of every month, my cohosts and I join forces for a Thrift Score Thursday feature-palooza, with favorites from the #thriftscorethursday on our blogs. So please understand that by linking up with #thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
Share the Love
And in order to help kick off our new format, we are so excited to share the news of our Thrift Score Thursday magical Christmas mystery giveaway!!!

Thrift Score Thursday Features:
I just can’t resist a glamorous vignette, so naturally I went crazy over these gorgeous pearlized lucite palm lamp Nancy (@casacavaliere) scored on eBay (one of a pair)! It works perfectly on her bar cart, in front of that fab gilded bamboo mirror. Just one of these babies was listed on Chairish for over $1000, but I’m not letting that dampen my dreams of finding a pair of my own one day!

Maria (@nordic_by_maag) shares the most deliciously moody decor shots on her account. I want to curl up on this couch, surrounded by vintage pillows, with a good book and a hot drink and stay for hours! The fake tree was a recent second-hand find, and the two-toned leaves add the perfect dash of color this vignette.

Vintage globe goals! Regina (@luvewant) collects globes – would you believe this is only a portion of her magnificent collection? Sometimes, hoarding definitely pays off! Picking one element to gather and group can make a huge statement in your decor!

Love vintage globes?
Find TONS of inspiration in this post: The ABC’s of Gathering – G is for Geography.
Speaking of vintage globes, I spy a beautiful one on these impeccably styled shelves from Jo (@jmwearing)… Her finds really pop against the black backdrop and it’s definitely inspiring me to go dark with my bookcases as well!

Christina (@found_phoenix_restoration) frequently shares incredible furniture finds (like this Mid Century Mulhauser chair), but the find I’m featuring today is actually that 8′ fiddle leaf fig tree she found on Craigslist for $10! It’s one of five fiddle leaf figs in her home, three of which she found on Craigslist for $10 or less… All hail the fiddle leaf fig queen!
I’ll admit it – I’m a complete sucker for vintage wood grain and little drawers, so I fell head over heels for this vintage drawer unit (from 1903!) Cate (@cate_stylemutthome) found! Those label holders! Those round recessed pulls!
I think green velvet will always make my heart beat a little faster. Add in some tufting, and you have this stunning chair Jen (@blissfully_eclectic) thrifted!
I die of jealous every time Erica (@ericareitman) posts a vintage needlepoint find! She says this new one might be her favorite of all, and I think I agree! I love the dimensionality it has, as well as the way the colors extend from the embroidery to the frame!

More vintage needlepoint inspiration galore right here: The ABC’s of Gathering: E is for Embroidery.
Finally, feast your eyes on this incredible, giant abstract painting Tatiana (@tati.woj) shared! Please, please get in my life!

Great inspirational ideas! Yesterday I scored a set of cobalt blue glass dishes – bowls, dinner plates, dessert plates, 8 of each – for $3.00 @ 1/2 price day at the local Salvation Army store. I am one happy clam today!
