Hey friends! Happy #thriftscorethursday! How’s life? I’m digging into old thrift scores this week with an unexpected gem… This adorably retro mid-century Hanson bathroom scale!
A bathroom scale feels like a funny thing to buy at the thrift store, but I was really drawn to its gold metal tone and the fun bubbled display. I think this could actually be a fun art piece propped up with a framed print and something sculptural… Is that weird? Let’s pretend it’s not.

Ready for this week’s #thriftscorethursday features? louloumint9260 shared this adorable enamel tea kettle that I would absolutely love to have in my kitchen! Isn’t it the sweetest?
Just feast your eyes on the loveliness that is this coffee table vignette featuring a thrifted brass crab (love him!) from Emily at The Anatomy of Design (Instagram: anatomyofdesign)! Total eye candy!
Finally, I’m just absolutely over the moon crazy about this pair of chairs Pam from Simple Details (Instagram: pamsimpledetails) scored for just $40 each! Aren’t they just incredible in her living room?

pam's chairs are INCREDIBLE! i totally missed seeing them with the tag, but i saw them on her blog…. SWOON!
I just can't stop thinking how perfectly they would work in MY house! 🙂
I think the real question is whether or not the scale functions properly? If it says I'm 10 pounds lighter I'd use it in my bathroom when I get ready in the morning! 😉
It seems to be pretty accurate, haha 🙂
Amazing finds and I have to say Pam's chairs blew me away when I saw them
Me too! I think I gasped!
Umm, those chairs? Hot. Damn.
I so agree!
wow–those chairs are crazy good!
Definitely the crowd favorite this week!
I missed those chairs too, how perfect. And those lampshades, oh lala!
Retro scales are totally art-work worthy. We have a vintage scale that I should dig out one of these days!
I'd like her whole room, basically! 🙂
I love that scale.
Thanks Nicole!
That tea kettle! Those chairs! Amazing! I would have bought that scale too, hehe – they're better than digital imo. 🙂
Much more charming, right?
thanks so much for featuring my little crab! so honored to be in such good company!
You're so welcome Emily! I love it!
OMG you are sooo creative brynne! i LOVE that idea to make and art frame from this!! wish we live in the same city, would totally go on thrift store treasure hunt with you!!! sob!
BTW, just LOVE the interview with your hubby, feels like i'm looking into a mirror: new zealand, messy side of the bed, haha!! xo
Thanks Ananda! Oh yes, that would be so fun – I'd love that! 🙂
haha, is there a way to find out the font on those numbers on the scale? haha… it's pretty great. Nice score!
I wish!!! I found two fonts in my collection (doesn't everyone have a font collection?!) that are kinda sorta similar: Tall Films and Matchbook!
