Happy #thriftscorethursday you guys! How has your thrifting luck been?
Amber from Restless Arrow is our awesome guest host today! You might remember her incredible kitchen makeover full of gorgeous thrift scores that I featured for Thrift Score Thursday 35 – she completed the whole redo on a $5k budget!
Have you joined our “Merry Thrifted Christmas” challenge yet?
Between now and NEXT Thursday, December 18th, we want you to see your thrifted Christmas finds! Simply share on Instagram or Twitter using #thriftscorethursday!
The Facts:
– Anything goes – from decorations and ornaments to ugly Christmas sweaters and everything in between! We’d also love to see your other non-Christmas-related thrift scores, so keep sharing those too!
– Feel free to use #thriftscorethursday any day of the week! We keep up with the hashtag all week long.
– On NEXT Thursday, 12/18 Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of and I will be featuring our favorites of YOUR thrifted Christmas finds! So get sharing!
The Features:
I just love this midcentury Jens Quistgaard candle holder Turena (Instagram: tsfinds) scored! It’s the coolest shape and I’m super jealous!
Jennifer (Instagram: fleamarketfab) got incredibly lucky when she spotted this star-shaped marquee light! Isn’t it so perfect for Christmas? Gosh, you guys find such incredible things!
Before this week, I didn’t know that nautical brass porthole ice buckets existed, but now I’m pretty certain that I need one too! Summer from Simple Stylings (Instagram: simplestylingsblog) incorporated it into a stunning holiday tablescape that you’ll just have to go check out here.
My Finds:
So I’m cheating just a little bit here… My #thriftscorethursday finds actually made an appearance in Tuesday’s holiday home tour post, but I saved the close-up shots for today’s post!
Can you spot them in the photo below? (Ha. That’s a trick question. Just about on the mantle was thrifted!)
How about now?
They are candle holders. They are brass. (Let’s guess which part you’re not surprised about…) I just love their shape! I can’t wait to use these in all sorts of mantle-and-tablescapes!
(P.S. Do you see the Christmas tree in the living room reflecting in the mirror? That kind of helps give you an idea of how the rooms relate to each other – there’s a short narrow hallway in between. And the kitchen is reflecting in the candle holders –I literally just noticed that!)
So what about you? What did you find this week? Remember – you can share any and all thrift scores but next week is our special Christmas themed Thrift Score Thursday and the LAST one before the holidays so get those Christmas thrift finds posted!

Be sure to check out the finds and features from Trisha, Cassie, Corinna and Amber too!

Those candleholders are such a score. The unique shape is great.
Thanks Sarah! I love 'em!
Brynne, they are awesome!!! What a huge score and love that you don't even need to put candles in them too – they add a lot of interest without the candles. So cool. And I love your books too that you have them stacked on. So fun to join in with all of you.
Thank you Holly! They are such fun little objects! I'm so glad you're joining in – it's great to have you!
i am so surprised for once we have different features! 🙂 but i was in line with amber this time! and your find….. mind blown.
Haha, yes – we are usually identical twins! I'm glad I could be a little surprising this time! And there were so many incredible finds to choose from!
Those brass candle holders are so you! Lucky find, I love them! And I just knew you were going to love tsfinds candle holder. It also screams you.

That ice bucket is incredible!!! I never knew such greatness existed!
Mmmhmm. That is one sexy ice bucket!
I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE your hexagon mirrors. Did you thrift those or buy them somewhere?
Thank you! They're the Honefoss mirrors from IKEA- super affordable and easy to put up!
Love your candle holders and Summer's table made an appearance in my posts today too. It's just so good. Have a great weekend.
Oh how fun – I can't wait to check it out! Thanks Julia – I hope your weekend is great too!
I cannot believe I missed that porthole icebucket, I'm seriously dying over here. I have now narrowed down the never-ending search to find one of those!
Your candle holders are such a sweet touch to your room!
Thanks Trisha! Yep, Thrift Score Thursday is great for adding things to the thrifting wish list, right? So many new things I find that I now absolutely "need"! 😉
