Hey you guys! Welcome to another #thriftscorethursday! I hope all my US readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and didn’t miss us too much!
Kyla from House of Hipsters is back guest hosting with us this week. She actually just started a hashtag/linky party that I’m sure you #thriftscorethursday fans will love – read all about #foundforaged here.
Remember our #thriftscorethursday Halloween costume challenge? Well we are back with another seasonal challenge for you! “Have A Merry Thrifted Christmas!”
Between now and Thursday, December 18th, we want you to see your thrifted Christmas finds! Simply share on Instagram or Twitter using #thriftscorethursday!
The Facts:
– Anything goes – from decorations and ornaments to ugly Christmas sweaters and everything in between! We’d also love to see your other non-Christmas-related thrift scores, so keep sharing those too!
– Feel free to use #thriftscorethursday any day of the week! We keep up with the hashtag all week long.
– On Thursday, 12/18 Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of and I will be featuring our favorites of YOUR thrifted Christmas finds! So you have plenty of time to get to sharing! In between now and then, we’ll be doing our usual features too!
The Features:
Tanya from Dans Le Lakehouse (Instagram: danslelakehouse) is the best. Not only does she find and share some pretty incredible thrift finds, but she also humors my demands like “share a closeup photo STAT” like when she posted this picture with an itty bitty little brass pig and I NEEDED more!
Nancy (Instagram: casacavaliere) has some freaking incredible thrifting luck. Check out these Lynne Chase Harmony Collection plates and Herend elephant bowl she scored – hundreds of dollars worth of china and she found everything in the photo for $20! I can’t even tell you how insanely jealous I am.
I think these vintage Bailey’s creamer and sugar containers Rachel (Instagram: creationsbyrachelw) found are just too cute! Those cheeky winks! Those rosy cheeks! (Sidenote: I don’t think I’ve ever used the word “cheeky” before. I shall try to do so more often). I think they might look especially adorable with some spiky plant hair, don’t you?
My Find:
I’ve been looking for a brass sleigh with reindeer like this one for so long! A friend sent me a link to one being sold by Shop Goodwill (if you haven’t been there yet, you are welcome for your newest time suck!) but I didn’t want to pay the asking price plus shipping. As luck would have it, I stumbled across this one at my local Goodwill for only $5 and there was much rejoicing throughout the land!
Look at those reindeer with their little noses in the air!
You’ll also get a sneak peek at my dining room’s Christmas décor (I might actually have a Christmas home tour for you this year!)…
And now it’s your turn! We want to see all your latest thrifty finds! And don’t forget – we’ll be featuring our favorite Christmas ones on the 18th!

Be sure to stop by and check out the finds and features from Trisha, Cassie, Corinna & Kyla!

I'm so predictable at this point, lol! I might need to find a new obsession just to add to my repertoire a little bit 😛
I'm dying over that little piggy and those reindeer truly are the BOMB! Thanks again so much for having me!
Thanks for joining us again Kyla!

You are just killing it with those finds Brynne. That reindeer sleigh. OMG… I can't believe someone let that go. But so lucky for you!! Love that little golden pig too.
I know! Their loss! I'm so happy they did though!
I don't think I can even find the words to express how much I love that sleigh.
I can't either. So a surplus of exclamation marks will have to do!!!
