The Features:
Emily from Emily May Designs (Instagram: emibrookie) found a stunning teak high board for just £10! I have such a soft spot in my heart for teak, even though I’ve sold all the teak pieces I’ve found in the past. It’s just gorgeous, isn’t it?
Here’s another fantastic midcentury thrift score – Turena (Instagram: tsfinds) just found and is in the process of recovering this incredible gondola sofa! I think it’s a Pearsall! She’s recovering it with the lovely textured black fabric. I’m so excited for her and I can’t wait to see the outcome!
Mera and Katie are two best friends in different states who write the blog Red House West (Instagram: redhousewest). I love this #shelfie they shared featuring this awesome vintage plate!
My Find:
I can’t stop bringing home thrifted art. I have a stack just waiting to be hung on the wall somewhere! I’m trying to be better about bringing home things without a distinct purpose/place, so when I found this piece and fell in love with the bright colors (and you know I have a weakness for stitchery!) I almost left it behind.
However, I decided that the fun colors might inspire me to get a move on sprucing up our laundry room, so it came home with me after all! I’m planning to paint the frame black to make it a little more modern.
I want that quilt in real life!
Now it’s your turn! Find anything good recently? Big, small, cool or crazy – share using #thriftscorethursday!

oh i love the art!!!! so fun! and fun features, too!
Thanks Cassie! I love it next to my dining room curtains – it shows that I have a very consistent love of certain colors 😉
Hello Teak! I Love that. Can't wait to see where do you some gallery art! Have you decorating the wall that goes up the stairs? It might be calling for some Thrifted art!
I have a baby gallery wall in the office that's just waiting on a few more collected pieces and frames… The stairs might be a good contender too! I'm waiting on being able to take out the carpet before I decide on the stair wall – it's ridiculously unfinished right now.
"Baby" as in small & unfinished, not a gallery wall that is in any way baby-themed 😉 I just realized that could be confusing!
Oh my gosh I need that highboard in my life!!!
Amen! Don't we all!
Aww, Yay!! Thanks so much for featuring me, glad you like the high board! That gondola sofa is making me drool, that's going to look fantastic when it's re-covered!

You're so welcome! Your high board is so lovely! Thanks for joining #thriftscorethursday!
Love your features this week! Keeping my envy in check, but it's awfully hard when the price tag $10 is mentioned! There are some seriously stunning finds hidden across the country and beyond.
I know! I have some serious "thrift jealousy" going on! 🙂
Your find is so great! That sofa is bonkers too!
Thanks Amber! I can't WAIT to see the finished sofa – she posted an in-progress shot today that is just fabulous!
Love Red House West, they are going to be on my blog tomorrow 😉
How fun! I can't wait to see!
Thanks for featuring my plate, Brynn! The best part is that it was F-R-E-E! That sofa is the stuff that dreams are made of . . . . And thanks to Julia for the shoutout too! I'm so excited to be on Cuckoo 4 Design tomorrow, eek!
Woohoo! Free is the best! Can't wait to see you on Cuckoo 4 Design tomorrow too! 🙂
oh, I so love that teak highboard (I'm saying that like I would have known to call it that even if you hadn't done it first ;)). Also your little quilt–so adorable!
Thanks Gretchen! Not sure what I would have known what to call it either 😉 I once coined the term "credenzboard" for those pieces I'm not exactly sure how to classify!
Such a sweet little quilt piece for your laundry room. I love how these pieces usually start the snowball effect. Cannot wait to see how you incorporate the piece in your laundry room!
P.S. Turena's MCM piece is going to be stunning! Can't wait to see that reveal!
Yes – the #thriftscoresnowballeffect – too long for a new hashtag? 😉
What a great and quirky art find. Love the colors of that quilt. So pretty! I think the black frame will make it even better 🙂
Thanks Katja! I love thinking about how much work the creator put into it!
