Good morning #thriftscorethursday!
It’s another exciting week over here with the addition of our newest Thrift Score Thursday host, Corinna from For My Love Of! We are so happy she’s going to be joining us each week in our celebration of thrifted goodness! Be sure to add her blog to your reading list!
And our awesome guest host this week is Morgan from Charleston Crafted. I know Halloween is over, but you guys have to check out her fantastic lightning-bolt and lightning-victim couples costume she posted recently – so creative and fun!
So this week marks our 40th (!!!) #thriftscorethursday (over the hill!), but even if it’s your very first time joining us, we would love for you to participate!
Simply share a picture of any thrifty find on Instagram or Twitter using #thriftscorethursday!
The Facts:
– You can share any thrifty finds with us – whether they hail from a thrift store, Craigslist, estate sale, garage sale, side of the road, or apartment dumpster! The fun, the funny, the awesome, the odd – this hashtag party is open to all!
– Feel free to use #thriftscorethursday any day of the week! We’ll be keeping up with the hashtag all week long to find our favorites for the following Thursday.
– Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of and I will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with #thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
The Features:
It’s settled. Kayla (Instagram: kainaible) and I are obviously long-lost twins separated at birth but still sharing the exact same taste in thrifted treasures… I mean, let’s not even talk about her chesterfield and Pace brass and glass table feature a few weeks ago! She recently posted this oil painting that is ALL MY FAVORITE COLORS. All of them.
Want!
Want to see more gorgeous thrifted art? Stacey (Instagram: sj9designs) has you covered! Love this girl’s awesome design aesthetic – you’re definitely going to want to follow her over on Instagram, especially for peeks at the coolest blackboard wall ever. The hook and loop art, Icelandic painting and green glass lamp in this photo are all thrift scores! Together they make a pretty incredible vignette, don’t you think?
Kyla from House of Hipsters (Instagram: kdall070) is actually our guest host for #thriftscorethursday next week! I’m pretty psyched to see what she shares, because check out this awesome campaign desk she scored! Bonus: impeccable styling!
My Finds:
This set of bitty silver acorn tea cups are perfect for fall! I can’t believe I forgot about them and just now rescued them from storage.
Each cup holds about a sip of liquid (maybe an ounce or a tiny bit more?), so they aren’t exactly practical for afternoon tea, but they are perfect for adorable woodland-fairy/Beatrix Potter-themed children’s tea parties!
Yet if, like me, you are childfree but still enjoy whimsical elfin miniatures, they are also the perfect size to hold a shot…
Just sayin’.
Now it’s your turn! What great things have you found recently? Share with the group!

I just love those acorn tea cups. Is that really what they are? They sure are awesome. I am also in love with the shaggy Native American 🙂
I think so! I wonder if they are just miniatures? Or part of an elaborate antique child's set? Hmm… I really need to do some more digging! And yes – the shaggy Native American seems to have been a fan favorite this week 🙂
Those acorn tea cups are absolutely adorable. The little finger hole looks like the perfect way to raise a pinkie toast!
Yes! Prim and proper!
You always find the cutest little wee things. I love little containers like this for paperclips/pushpins/bobbypins. Finding sets at the thriftstore is the best!
Oooh – you just gave me a really good idea to turn one (or all) into adorable little stuffed tea cup pin cushions!
Ugh, that Indian head! Envy, pure envy, is running through me. But, oh well. Those little acorn teacups are so unique. I've never seen anything like them before. I love 'em!
I can't find anything out about them online! Wish they had a maker's mark or stamp for further research!
Thank you so much for the feature lady! You guys are so awesome and I'm so excited about next week, yet slightly nervous because I'm not quite sure what I'm going to post! Yikes!
As for your tiny acorns, I had a weird thought. Do you think they might be tasting spoons? You know when you go to a really fancy restaurant with tons of courses, sometimes they server the soup in a tiny ladle, much like what you have. It's basically a taste of the soup so you don't get too full too fast. Just a random thought. They ARE super cute! Kyla @ http://houseofhipsters.com/
Huh, what an intriguing idea! I've tried doing some research, but hadn't turned anything up!
oh my gosh we were soooo on the same page! too funny!!!!! great picks! 😉 and love your cups!
Haha, I know!!!
love that desk! And….acorn tea cups?! oh my. I just can't even stand it.
Gretchen – I feel like these acorn tea cups belong with your squirrel friends!
Those are adorable Brynne!! And that Indian + cross wall is awesome. And the styling on the desk! All good things! 🙂
There's so many fun finds and so much talent out there! I love seeing it each week!
I WANT THAT DESK!
