Who’s excited for Thrift Score Thursday? I know I am! And so is my awesome cohost Trisha from Black and White Obsession and our fabulous guest host Katja from Shift Ctrl Art!
I had the pleasure of meeting the incredibly creative and talented Katja at Haven this summer and I just know you will become a devoted reader of her blog if you aren’t one already! I got to see her DIY leather and felt laptop bag in person and couldn’t believe she made it herself!
Now, before we jump into this features and my freaking awesome find that I’m having a really hard time keeping quiet about, are there any #thriftscorethursday newbies in the house?
Join the fun by sharing a picture of any recent thrifty find on Instagram or Twitter (or both!) using #thriftscorethursday!
The Facts:
– You can share any thrifty finds with us – whether they hail from a thrift store, Craigslist, estate sale, garage sale, side of the road, or apartment dumpster! The fun, the funny, the awesome, the odd – this hashtag party is open to all!
– Feel free to use #thriftscorethursday any day of the week! We’ll be keeping up with the hashtag all week long to find our favorites for the following Thursday.
– Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession and I will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with #thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.
The Features:
I went nuts for this amazing moose figurine posted by Stephanie from Sandpaper & Glue (Instagram: sandpaperglue) – apparently, she bid on it online and really underestimated its size! Haha – extra awesome! She might paint it gold – what do you think?
The second picture that stopped me in my tracks was this insane tufted yellow sofa shared by Jamala from Viva La Vintage For Your Home (Instagram: urvintagegirl) because there’s a shortlist of minor felonies I would consider committing in order to get my hands on it! (Just kidding. Of course.)
Do you see that price tag? $25. Oh the agony.
Finally, I just have to shout out Trisha’s (Instagram: bnwobsession) amazing vintage camping trailer she debuted at last week’s Thrift Score Thursday! I cannot wait to follow along with its transformation! Be sure to keep up with #projectskylarkreno on Instagram!
My Find:
While I may not have managed to get my greedy little as-yet-felonyless fingers on that amazingly underpriced tufted sofa, I’m still pretty pleased and proud of the find I’m sharing this week!
I shared a picture on Instagram a few weeks ago and I am finally getting around to posting about my second brass coffee table Craigslist score, which you got a sneak peek of last week…
Meet my new bff – a vintage tubular brass coffee table attributed to Karl Springer! See one here on 1st Dibs sitting at a cool $2500. I kind of don’t want to post how much I paid for it because a) you will hate me and b) it sounds like a terribly exaggerated lie, but I found this awesome piece on Craigslist in a neighboring town for just… *whispers*… thirty dollars. And c) I already scored a crazy amazing brass and glass coffee table – my dream coffee table – for pennies earlier this summer, but I kind of like this one more (maybe?) and it fits the living room better.
I know. I hate me too.
But you guys, I’m having serious living room drama and difficulty pinning down a good furniture arrangement. And so I have three coffee tables right now because I don’t want to make any rash decisions.
It’s hard being a hoarder.
Any other crazy coffee table hoarders in the house? What’s your best recent thrifty score? Share with the party!

Be sure to check out this week’s finds and features from Trisha and Katja!
that table is amazing! and i also LOVE that couch! i dream of a vintage couch one day!
Me too Cassie! It's everything I would want – tufted, vintage, and in the perfect shade of yellow!
Wow, such good finds but I can't get over that couch! Amazing!
RIGHT?! Dying.
it was a great week for thrifting all around!! 🙂
Indeed! I can't wait to see what you do with the fabulous Mr. Moose! 🙂
What the what?! Girl you score the BEST coffee tables! Maybe it's just meant to be that you find a nontraditional use for them elsewhere. Say in an outdoor patio? Dedicate some area in your home as a lounge area?
Thanks for the shoutout boo, every time I pass our little vintage beaut I may just give it a little wink!
I obviously need to just start hanging them on the wall and calling it modern art! Because of course I can't part with them! 🙂
OMG. When I called you a thrifting queen, I was not underestimating you. Not even by a long shot. 30 freakin dollars!! That is so awesome Brynne. Love that table to pieces.
Haha, thank you Katja! Does the title come with a crown and/or an associated castle? Because I could really use the extra storage space for my coffee table collection…
$25 for that couch is insane!!! And I really, really hate you (that sounds awful typing it out but you know what I mean and you said it yourself). I've never seen anything like that coffee table and it is one of the most amazing one's I've ever seen.
Yes, I brought it on myself – can't hold it against you 😉
I'm so envious of your overabundance of coffee tables! I want ONE–just ONE for my library, and I keep coming up empty. But, I mean, I'm very happy for you 🙂
Hahaha. Well, I DEFINITELY don't need any more coffee tables, so I'll just ship some of this coffee-table-finding mojo off your way…
Hey Brynne,
Long time no speak, you are steaming ahead at pace with the blog, all your stuff you have made look fab, so sorry I haven't checked in in a while, Netflix has taken a total hammering at my end too, procrastination style! OITNB got a major binge watching session, it was aces! Sorry to hear about your July, and glad everyone is on the mend…chin up.
E.
Hey there Eve! It's so nice to hear from you 🙂 I've been taking a bit of a break lately to recuperate from the summer and Netflix is definitely playing a key therapeutic role 😉
Me too, been off the internet since March and now I'm back re-invigorated…it's needed sometimes. The DIY has started once again…the house it still chaos, but trying to tick off one job at a time.
Chat soon.

Coffee table whisperer? Love the glass top on your first and the positively groovy base on your new table. I vote to keep them both! Use the new one as the coffee table and the other as a cool side table.
Oh dear – you're encouraging my hoarding tendencies… I love it! 🙂
Hello! I actually just found one just like this but in a console shape on craigslist as well but how do you authenticate that it's an actual Karl Springer?
Hi Lesly – so cool! I'm envious because I would love to find the console table version! I'm always a little nervous to 100% proclaim that something is authentic because I am no expert, but as far as I can tell, mine is exactly the same as the versions online that are attributed to Karl Springer… Although even on 1st Dibs they use that "attributed" tag!
wow score, I’ve been looking for a hollywood regency glass table/brass.
Hey Brynne.. I have to chuckle at this because here it is 3 years later and I found the end table to your coffee table for.. ah hem… $9.99 – yep…. $9.99 at Goodwill.. .. high five to you.. 🙂
