Happy Thrift Score Thursday, friends! I hope all is well in your corners of the world and that good luck has been attending your gathering adventures.
My own thrifting adventures are still on hold. We are *this* close to listing our house (I know, I know – it’s been a long time coming) and I’ve been steering clear of my favorite thrifting spots for fear I’ll find something fabulous that I just can’t resist.
So right now I’m contenting myself with enjoying all your wonderful finds from the #thriftscorethursday Instagram feed, like this inspiring collection of features this week…
The Features:
I’ve never seen anything like this awesome brass and Tonala pottery eagle Jenn (@suite22antiques) posted. You guys, unique finds like this are the pieces that add so much character to your shelf and vignette styling!
Vintage books get me every time, so I’m head over heels for these antique school books Melissa (@melissabrandman) shared. And isn’t her styling just the sweetest?
Love vintage books? Check out my post on how to decorate with vintage books and where to find them!
These finds from @steadyfeelinirie are ridiculously adorable! I don’t know which I like more – the tin tiger plate, the pink Asian figure, those petite succulents, or the way they look grouped together!
Here is a collection to make your jaw drop! Have you ever seen anything as incredible as this tree full of vintage macrame-style seashell chandeliers from @vintageparlororiginals? New #lifegoal!
Sarah (@thistleblooms) shared this itty bitty metal donkey with the most perfect patina ever that she found for just $1. I mean seriously – what better thing can you buy for a dollar? You can’t even rent a movie in our area for a dollar anymore!
Finally, reminding me once more to give pottery pieces a second look, we have this perfect vignette from Diane (@dianerath) – that textural cachepot + fern combination is everything!

oh my goodness i just realized i had a photo of all that macrame saved and it somehow didn’t make it into my post! ugh! i should go add it now! 🙂 i LOVED it and it was my number one pick!
Oh yes! It’s amazing! I’ve actually been on the fence about macrame, just not quite loving the trend, but it’s absolutely wonderful en masse like this!
The pink Asian figure!!! I want it and I want my dresser to have THAT pink! So good
It is SO cute! And such a darling pink! (It’s actually very close to the pink on my bedroom walls – Clark+Kensington “Sprinkled Sugar” if you want to give it a look!)
oh, I love that little tiger plate! Lots of great stuff this week, but that one is particularly charming 🙂
Indeed! I just have to own it – I love animals and am alllllllways drawn to anything featuring them! Especially adorable illustrations! 🙂
I’m in love with that pottery and brass bird. AH-MAZING!
Oh yes! The universe has been shouting at me and I need to listen – Tonala pottery needs to become a part of my life!
Love the bird… My favorite!
Helen
It’s such a sweet piece! I’m going to keep my eyes out for one of my own now – fingers crossed!
Wonder post, Brynne…and as usual I want all of the ‘scores’ you have featured! That brass bird is gorgeous! Also everything in your last photo with the pottery piece is just spectacular – the lamp! the ABC framed print! and that clock! What gorgeous styling.
Thank you Julie! I agree – that last picture is styling perfection! I just love celebrating all the possibilities for decorating with thrifted finds!
