Hello friends! Happy Thrift Score Thursday!
Did you catch my living room tour earlier this week? If you love thrift finds, I think you’ll really enjoy it!
My Find:
You already caught a glimpse of my find in the living room tour…
I found this ceramic/pottery leaf (which I’ve identified as a monstera leaf) at a thrift store a little while back and just couldn’t resist it at $3.99!
I absolutely love all the colors in the glaze!
I just can’t decide exactly what it is – I thought it might be a vase or a bottle of some sort, because of the small opening up top, but it’s actually hollow and open on the bottom, so I guess not… Any ideas?
The Features:
My favorites from the #thriftscorethursday Instagram feed this week…
Ahhh! How gorgeous is this bedroom shot from @bobettecarpenter? The brass bed was a banner-day thrift store find (featured here in The ABC’s of Gathering: B is for Brass), but I’m especially obsessed with that vintage yellow settee up front!
I have so been feeling the global textiles lately! @mmvintage59 shared this gorgeous stack of fabrics, making me more determined than ever to a) find some myself and b) do something fabulous with it!
The ever incredible @mariaski63 posted this stunning vignette of finds -she has such an eye! Which is your favorite?
Lastly, @design_it_vintage has been working on her foyer and it’s pretty incredible, don’t you think? The vintage buffet was left behind by the previous owner and the hand-blown glass lamp was a thrift store find!

there were so many great finds- i loved those textiles, too, and mariaski’s shot!
Agreed! Somehow I missed some of the ones you featured! I love combing through and picking favorites!
Love all the finds and want your leaf 😉
Thank you Julia! 🙂 I’m thinking I’ll have to start a collection of green ceramic pieces – love the color and luster!
Love the leaf, i bet it was a lamp at one time. Most likely a tv lamp would be my guess.
Oooh, what an interesting idea! Whatever it’s original purpose, now I’m envisioning it as a little lamp and loving the thought!
Maybe it’s a really intense tapered candlestick holder? It’s hard to tell just how large the whole it but the shape reminds me of candlestick holders. It’s a perfect piece for your home!
Now I just need a collection and that would be such a wonderful idea to use it as such! The hole is too small for a candle but it could definitely be adapted… 😀
Hi! Brynne, you rock. Thank you so much for featuring our vintage, glam foyer. How excited, I love your work and all that you do. I am happy to have hosted with you ladies.
Hugs
Aw, thank you Nicole! And you are so welcome – it’s such a great space! I’m so glad you enjoy participating in Thrift Score Thursday. It’s what keeps up going week after week! 😀
That leaf…whatever it is….is a great find. I’m always finding adorable TINY things, but I only have places for so many adorable tiny things. Big pieces like that are much rarer, IME!
Okay, I feel like I have the exact opposite problem – I am always drawn to oversized finds: GIANT pieces of art, big statues/figures… Maybe we should work out an exchange program? 😉
I love your leaf – coordinates so well with the other green in your room. How great is that brass bed, too!?
Thank you Kristen! 🙂 And yes – I have a special affinity for brass beds, and that one is just awesome!
