Just popping in this merry Christmas Eve Eve (I love this day! It’s so fun to say!) to share our Christmas card with you all, because if I could send one to each and every one of you lovely readers and friends I would! Along with homemade cookies, sparkling cocktails, and just general mushy and probably inarticulate gushings of affection and goodwill.
Did I say Christmas card?
It would be more accurate to say “Christmas e-card”.
Or “Christmas photo attachment sent via email and Facebook message”.
We like to keep it classy around these parts. And save the trees. (Oh yes, let’s totally play this off as eco-consciousness rather than I-can’t-handle-printing-and-mailing-Christmas cards-and-stamps-are-freaking-expensive. Save the trees: send an email!)
If this card ever were to take physical form, you can see that it would be a lovely, full color three-panel Christmas card. Printed on gorgeously textured paper (none of that glossy photo stuff!). With gold foil photo corners.
In reality, it is a large photo that recipients can click to enlarge in their browser window so they can admire our corny mugs in the ubiquitous Instagram pics and read tongue-in-cheek descriptions of our year.
Just for you, I’m including each panel separately:
FAQ’S
Is chalkboard overplayed?
Possibly.
Am I ready to give it up yet?
Nope.
Did I use this exact same theme for our Christmas ecard last year?
Yes.
Will I use it again next year?
Probably. Call it consistency. Or personal branding. I think it’s pretty darn cute!
I wish you the very merriest of Christmases, the happiest of holidays, and the season-iest of greetings imaginable! I hope your holiday is warm, jolly, surrounded by loved ones, and full of good things!
merry merry christmas!
Merry merry Christmas to you Cassie! I hope it is wonderful!
It is pretty darn cute, I agree! You guys had a great year and are a super cute couple.
And like my girl Cassie up there said already: Merry Merry Christmas my friend!
Merry Christmas Julia! I hope it's a lovely Christmas for you guys! I'm so thankful for your friendship 🙂
Eep your card is just so darn cute! Love the theme and I'm all about reusing stuff- makes it totally easier. Really really really digging that you kept it an ecard because saving trees and money is pretty awesome. Oh and who the heck enjoys the weird-o shapes & 'designer' templates when you can make 'em as pretty as you want!!
P.S. I hope chalkboard doesn't die anytime soon! Haven't even had the chance to chalk-ify something yet 😀
Thank you 🙂 & Merry Christmas Trisha! I'm still all about the chalkboard! I mean, it's been around for a few centuries. Surely it can survive the 2010's, right? 😉
The cliffs notes for the year is a cute idea – love it!
