This is actually the first mid century dresser I’ve been able to get my hands on since restarting my vintage furniture business. They sell like hotcakes on Craigslist, so I just haven’t had any luck picking one up until I spotted this one in a nearby town.
It’s made by American of Martinsville, and I just love those inset brass pulls, and the trapezoidal mirror!
To clean this one up, I used some of my tried and true Howard’s Restor-A-Finish in Walnut, which magically erases minor scratches and surface blemishes. I could use some Brasso to polish up the brass pulls, but I’d rather not touch the patina. I’ll leave that up to the future buyer to decide!
I’m going to keep this posting short but sweet – I have an awesome item to [hopefully] pick up from Craigslist today, and a dear friend coming to visit this weekend, so I’ll wrap this up with a reminder to go enter the giveaway!
Hi I wondered if you still have this piece and if it is for sale? Also, do you know the name of this collection? Thank you!
