Artist Spotlight: Archer & Olive

May 16, 2014 by Brynne 17 Comments

You guys, it’s time for our semi-regular “Artist Spotlight” series – where I get really really excited and gushy to introduce you to my newest art crushes! (See past Artist Spotlight posts here.)

Today, allow me to introduce you to the lovely Bonnie of Archer & Olive! I discovered her work through a link party and went crazy over this Fantastic Mr. Fox print, that she was kind enough to send me! I love the colors and the sassy quote.

Here he is propped up on my dining room mantle. I’m sure I’ll find the perfect spot for him, but for now I smile every time I walk by:

I asked Bonnie to tell us a little about herself…

I am a graphic designer/illustrator who lives and works in beautiful Austin, Texas. Together, my husband and I have have two crazy cats. Here’s how much I love what I do: I named my cat Archer after my favorite font. I try new restaurants based on their website design. I draw on napkins, on books, on hands, on walls, and on my computer because I NEED to. I have been known to lie to friends about plans, so I can stay home and create. My art is my passion.

A fellow Texas gal? Check!

Cat lover? Check!

Homebody creative? Check!

Can we best besties?

When I heard Bonnie was on the brink of opening up her Etsy shop, I jumped at the chance to help herald its grand opening!

Here are a few of my favorite prints, just perfect for adding to a gallery wall! Or for collecting all of them for an instant gallery wall 🙂

I love this sentiment. And is there anything more beautiful than a green door?

Bonnie runs a wonderful weekly feature on her blog called “Tuesday Haikusday” where she chooses three inspiration words, pens a charming haiku, and oftentimes creates a beautiful illustration to go along with it! The three words for the painting above? Door, secret, green.

Um, dead ringer for Tiny Tina right? I’m pretty certain I need this print too! And that I need to start dressing Tiny Tina in pearls and floral headpieces daily. She’ll totally love that, right?

Isn’t Bonnie’s art the sweetest? I hope you’ll stop by the Archer & Olive site to browse further! I can’t wait to see what she creates next!

Yes, floral headpieces and pearls daily!
I love this series of yours and the talented (new to me) artists. And it's so great that Bonnie is a fellow Austin girl! We can make plans that she can then break, to stay home to create new designs!
