We've got tinier versions of those clips on various parts of the "robot" at work. The "robot" fills prescriptions. It's always a little curse when they slip or fly off somewhere because we have to first search for the little booger, then get the darn thing back on. Maybe you should move "drink beer" to the top of the list to ease the panic. Then once calm, do the googling. Then the next morning fix the ladder.

Glad the ladder and cat (cat and ladder?) are fine! You have some mighty fine story telling skills there!

I'm sure one of these days one of our giant curious dogs (with super thick tails) are bound to knock over one of our carelessly tossed around tools, or something precious. To which your googl-ing method... how to fix ____ that your dog broke will be put to use. It will yield great results.

Oh and $200 ladders are no joke, totally worth fixing even if you would have had to fork out some dough on replacement parts. Glad yours was an easy inexpensive fix.

In reply to Gretchen. Haha, yay! I'm glad I beat out all those other "how to fix a ladder that your cat broke" posts out there! ;) I feel terrible that I only worried about the cat after I worried about the ladder, but thank goodness both are fine now!

This is, hands down, the best post about fixing a ladder broken by a cat that I've EVER read ;). Glad that both the ladder and the cat survived the incident!
